Tie Dyed Eggs...er Silk Tie Dyed Eggs

I love this time of year. I love dying Easter eggs. I love Easter services. Tonight we dyed a test batch since tomorrow night I am having a small Easter egg dying party. I bought some of the regular dye for those who like a more traditional egg, but I also hit up the Goodwill store to pick out a bunch of silk ties for egg dying. I did this last year and was thrilled with the outcome...this test batch was G-R-E-A-T. See what you think:

I LOVE those eggs. They are beautiful! Someday I will try that...I truly will! This year, however, we used a 99 cent drugstore kit. A good thing too, because, out of the 18 (yes 18!!) eggs we boiled, all but EIGHT ended up cracked and broken. No worries though, that just meant we had egg salad for lunch for a couple of days.

If my eggs had been as beautiful as yours, that egg salad would have broken my heart!
