Elena is going through a wonderful new phase. All day long, she craves being in the outdoors. She is almost five now (I have to keep pinching myself to believe it's true), and very self-sufficient. She dons her boots, finds her coat and helps herself to snack-sized bites of the outdoors. I think she is growing into her genes...her mother's genes... of loving the outdoors.
